Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for
"Badminton Mahayoddha"
State Level Badminton Selection Trials

 

1. Event Overview
"Badminton Mahayuddh" is a state-level selection trial organized by Sportix India aimed at identifying and nurturing badminton talent in Rajasthan. The objective is to select players for extensive coaching and eventual representation in the national league. The trials will be conducted in two phases, beginning with the first phase in June at the Pulse Academy, Udaipur.
2. Objectives

• To scout the most talented badminton players from across Rajasthan.
• Provide selected players with national exposure and one month of intensive coaching from NIS certified coaches.
• Form a state team to compete in the upcoming national badminton league.

3. Selection Process
Phase 1: Initial Trials (June 11 onwards, Pulse Academy, Udaipur)

• First Round: Each player will play a 10-minute game to assess fundamental movements, skills, and footwork.
• Second Round: A technical round using technology-enabled devices to analyse physical attributes like reaction time, response time, mental strength, and agility.

Phase 2: State Level Camp

• Top 40 players from each category (Separate Girls and Boys ) the first phase will attend a 30-day coaching camp.
• Post-camp, a final team of 10 players from each category (Separate Girls and Boys )  will be selected for the national league.

4. Registration and Fees

• Registration is to be completed online.
• Participation fee: ₹799, which includes a kit and a physical body report.
• Upon registration, participants will receive an ID card by June 10, 2024.

5. Event Logistics

• Date and Venue: Starting June 11 at Pulse Academy, Udaipur.
• Players must adhere to their scheduled time slots assigned in batches.
• Each participant will receive a sports jersey at the venue, which must be worn during the trials.
• Each player is allowed one companion, who must also carry an ID card for venue access.

6. Equipment and Apparel

• Participants must bring their own badminton rackets and wear proper sports shoes.

7. Companion Policy

• Only one companion per participant is permitted.
• Companions must carry their ID cards at all times within the venue.

8. Accommodation

• No transportation, boarding, or lodging will be provided by Sportix India.
• Participants and their companions are responsible for their own arrangements.

9. Age Categories

• Trials will be conducted separately for boys and girls in the following age groups: Under 11, Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19, Under 21 and Under 24. Age will be calculateas on 1st June 2024

10. Conduct and Decisions

• The decisions of the coaches and the Sportix India selection team are final.
• These decisions cannot be challenged in court or at any administrative level.

11. Key Dates

• Registration Deadline: June 5, 2024
• Trial Start Date: June 11, 2024
• Kit and ID Distribution: On arrival at the venue on June 11, 2024

12. Required Documents

• Age Proof: Any one of the following: Birth certificate, Aadhaar card (if DOB is mentioned), Passport, or 10th Class Marksheet.
• Companion Aadhaar Card: Required for entry and identification.
• Doctor's Certificate of Fitness: To confirm the participant's physical fitness for the trials.

13. Additional Notes

• Ensure punctuality for your allotted time slots.
• Adhere to all guidelines to facilitate a smooth selection process.
• Minimum 20 candidates need to Participate in each age category for the Second Phase round. In case, less than 20 Players registered in any category then 2nd Phase of the Round will not be organise.
